The transfer is almost complete...the newly remodeled site looks great and should be up within the week. I still have many things to add, including lyrics, stories, videos, photos, sounds, etc.
That being said, there is a strong possibility that the site will be down for awhile next week when I transfer sbelievers.com from my current domain to the new domain. The temporary access location will be http://www.serve.com/sbelievers. When the transfer is complete, I will have to upload everything as soon as possible. Currently, I am unable to use my FTP program to simply upload the site. All I can use is their web upload program which only allows for 10 uploads at a time...not nearly enough when there are thousands of files involved! I will try to make it as smooth of a transition as possible.

Caption This! has been updated for Week 33. Sorry for the late update, however it was worth it. My e-mail has been so up and down (mostly down) lately that on Monday, I had 3 caption suggestions from the whole week. Then on Wednesday, I received the other 7-8 suggestions made from days earlier. If your suggestion is not on the page, odds are that I haven't received it. I'll be transferring to a different server in July, so hopefully these problems will cease to exist at that point.

Update on my e-mail situation: It has gone from bad to worse. I would actually prefer the way it was this weekend (see June 1 below). I am getting errors when I try to download e-mail and I cannot send e-mail. I would e-mail them about this problem, but all of my communication goes through @sbelievers.com e-mail addresses, so I'm in a Catch 22.
For those of you who are waiting on tapes to be sent, rest assured that I am very close to getting caught up and expect to ship a lot out by June 11-14 at the latest.
I also realized that the store page is somehow down (it's giving a "Forbidden" page even though I didn't do anything to cause it to display that page) and will work on fixing it after I get caught up. I need to redo some things anyhow, so this will give me an opportunity to do so.
In summary: My server is still having problems...lots of things aren't working right. Hopefully everything will be sorted out soon...if not then I will switch web hosts sooner than I expected.

Vanessa's pilot "Las Vegas" has officially been picked up by NBC for the fall. 13 episodes have been ordered. She will star along side Josh Duhamel. A time slot has yet to be announced.

The upgrade to S&B Online is going very well. Also very slowly. :) I am going to quality and quantity as opposed to upgrading everything quickly. For example, one portion of the site has been completely redone and is now 4 times the size that it was before. I'm keeping it all under wraps until it is time to move to the new server. (Mainly because it is no where near being done, but also because there are still several parts I need to redo and also I do not have enough space on my current web host to upload a lot of the new changes). I will continue to keep you posted on the progress and the estimated date for the unveiling.

A couple of notes:
First of all, I am very behind on replying to e-mails, so if you have sent me one and I haven't responded, don't worry...I will!
I also wanted to let everyone know what will be going on with S&B Online over the upcoming months. There will be many additions and upgrades. One of those is a better set up for the Photo Albums. I'm also adding many photos to those sections. I am also creating video files and plan to create more slideshows. The only problem is that my current web host doesn't provide me with enough space to store all of these on, so I will be moving to a new host in the upcoming months. All of the additions will be revealed at the same time. I have a couple other projects that I am working on that I think everyone will like as well. I'll keep you posted on the progress and estimated date for the new and improved site! This isn't a true update, but rather a progress report. The remodel of the photo album pages (see February 22 entry) is going much better than expected. I expected to have to resize each of the photos one by one, but instead I found a program that creates thumbnails in mass very simply. So that alone saved me hours of work since there are about 900 photos in each of the photo albums combined. The new photo album will be set up with one frame which will contain the thumbnails of each photo. Clicking on the thumbnail will load the full sized photo into the frame next to it. Very simple and no more shifting through dozens of pages (or me having to create dozens of pages for the photos!).
However, just to make the debut of the new sections a little better I will wait until I've gone through the remaining GHs that I have on tape from before Vanessa left. I believe I have 8-10 episodes to go through. Plus an episode that came out too dark the first time around. I hope to have all of this completed sometime over the next 2-3 weeks, depending on my schedule.
I also have about a half dozen other ideas for sections that I'm either working on or have written down so I won't forget. I just want to be sure to take my time to make each section fully functional, free of errors and the best experience possible. :)
While I have the chance, I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support of S&B Online even with Vanessa not on GH. I'm awed at the fact that the number of visitors has only marginally decreased since her departure. In fact, there have been several days where the total hits surpassed the average of hits while she was on the show! S&B fans are the best!!!! Keep checking back as there are great things in store for S&B Online.
One more update: As promised, the funds from the profits on the tape sets has and will continue to support Sonny and Brenda Online. The latest two additions were last month when I upgraded my Geocities account to eliminate the ads on the music box pages and tonight when I upgraded the disc space to allow more photos to be added. It was cheaper to go through Geocities than my server to host the photos and this way, more space is freed up for more posts on the forums.

The Sonny and Brenda Music Box remodel is complete. There are currently 400+ songs on the page, all in alphabetical order by title. Each song has been moved to a new, simplier yet more elegant page. Also, each link has been tested to verify that it is valid and loads in the correct frame. A search engine will be added at a later date. I began this project in November and slowly but surely, it all came together. Check it out now!

The following is to address the many e-mails that I have received over the past week:
Sonny and Brenda Online is NOT going away just because Vanessa is not on the show. It survived for 4 years with the character of Brenda being "dead." Also, I firmly believe that she will return one day. (Note: This is only my opinion based on the interviews and quotes that I have read from Vanessa since her departure was announced.)
I will still be updating the site. I have 7-8 tapes to go through for pictures that I haven't had time take yet. Also, I'm still in the middle of upgrading the Music Box page. This should be completed by April. Also, I plan on redesigning and reorganizing the photo pages sometime this year. They will be sorted by catagory (Publicity shots, show photos, magazine photos, etc) for easier viewing.
I will attempt to keep Caption This! going. I figure that I can go through the photos that I have taken from GH episodes over the past 6 months and find some good caption photos from there. I'm keeping this around mainly because there have been some very funny suggestions and I want to keep that around. :)

Caption This! has been updated for the week of February 8-15. I re-created the voting page for Week 13 since it appears that the service that I used for those polls (createapoll.com) has disappeared indefinately.
I also re-created the polls that have been on the front page since I can't access those results either due to CreateAPoll's disappearance.
I want to take this opportunity to address the issue of Vanessa leaving the show. Her last air date is Wednesday, February 19. Please don't believe all of the rumors of how she left the set as most of them are rubbish. This is a quote from her in the latest Soap Opera Digest: "There are no bad feelings. If in two months, I called and said, 'I can't stand to be away,' I would come back to the exact thing that they have given me right now. I adore my job and am devastated with I leave here. So it's not over. It's definately not over for Brenda."
Please note that my only source for soap opera information is soap opera magazines. This has always been a fan site, unconnected with TPTB at GH and ABC.
As far as the future of this site is concerned, it is the same as it was in 1998 when Vanessa left. I still plan to upgrade and add sections. In fact, one of these additions will be posted over the next week. I'm trying to balance work, school and the website among other things right now, so it might take longer than I hope for things to get done, but rest assured that this site will NOT be going anywhere.

Contrary to a previous report from Cindi Rinehart last weekend, Vanessa Marcil is leaving GH. While Soap Opera Weekly is reporting that she is just going on a 3 week vacation to Africa, many other sources are quoting her confirmation of departure. Will this be the end for S&B and Brenda on GH? I don't know. I most certainly hope not. I highly doubt that TPTB would be stupid enough to write her off so she can never come back, especially after all that it took to bring her back from the dead this time around. Also, there is always the possibility of more negotiations (I have been told this happened with Roger Howarth, who plays Todd on One Life to Live. It was widely reported that he was leaving, but signed a new contract at the last minute.) I don't want to get anyones hopes up. I don't know any more about what is happening or what might happen than anyone else. As it is stated on several parts of this site, it is only a fan site and is not connected with ABC Daytime or GH. I will keep everyone posted with any details that I find out from other sources.

Here are some changes to S&B Online that you can expect to see in 2003:
New look and organization to the Music Box. I'm currently moving each song page into a different section. Each page will be re-designed with a simplier look. Also, it will be alphabetized by song title and searchable. I thought about also organizing them by artist, but found that it would be too difficult with so many different artists singing their version of a song that has been done before.
I'm about a third of the way through with this project. I've moved about 130 pages so far (over the past month and a half) and have a couple hundred to go still. So far, so good. :-)
Another project is re-organizing the photo albums. The current format was fine when I redesigned the site in October, 2001, but now with all of the additional Sonny and Brenda photos, it isn't ideal. My plan is to organize them by photos from the show and promotional photos with a thumbnail for each picture.

The Caption This! section has been updated for Week 10. There are some very funny suggestions for last week's photo.
I've added a link to a petition that a fan has started due to the rumors of TPTB possibly killing off Brenda during February sweeps. Sign the petition now!
And an update on the Music Box re-do project. So far, it will be alphabetized by song title. I'm completely moving each page for organization purposes and also that a third of the pages on there have invalid MIDI links. So far it is looking really nice. I'm about a fourth of the way through the songs currently in the Music Box. I'll be adding all new suggestions after I complete the current project.

One of the questions is about the S&B Tapes. I still have not heard back about the status of the 2nd tape (the one that was damaged). If it cannot be restored then I will probably offer the first tape only (which ends around the time that they went to Puerto Rico). I just want to know how much I should offer it for if I can't offer both tapes.
