BACKGROUND: Sonny has recovered (with Brenda's help) from his gunshot wound. Brenda has invited him to come see the Idle Rich at the Outback, and to meet their manager, Brenda's new best friend, Lois.
(Sonny and Brenda come into the Outback.)
Brenda: Don't you love it?
Brenda: I don't know. It's like a feeling in the air...Rock 'n roll. Don't you feel it?
Sonny: Yeah. (He looks at her strangely.)
Brenda: Wait, there's someone I want you to meet. Are you ready?
(They walk over to a table.)
Brenda: Oh, Lo!
Lois: (turning around) Bren, have you seen...
(She and Sonny see each other.)
Brenda: What, did you see a ghost?
Sonny: I think we both have. Lois Cerullo!
Lois: Sonny Corinthos!
Brenda: You two know each other?
Sonny: You look exactly the same.
Lois: I do not! I look more sophisticated.
Sonny: That's right, you cut off your pigtails.
Lois: You bum! Would you get over here?
Brenda: Wait a minute, would you please tell me how this is possible?
Lois: Yeah, we grew up together.
Lois: Is this the guy you were telling me about?
Brenda: I might have mentioned him in passing.
Sonny: I would have liked to have been a fly on that wall.
Lois: So let me look at you. Not bad, you must be doing pretty good for yourself.
Sonny: I'm making it.
Lois: Do I wanna know how?
Sonny: Probably not. How's the family?
Lois: Every time I bring your name up, Louie harps on the 300 bucks he says you owe him.
Sonny: So they remember me?
Lois: Yeah, who could forget the bad boy of Bensonhurst? This is amazing. So he's your boyfriend?
Brenda: I wouldn't call him that.
Lois: So what would you call him?
Sonny: She's kind of just waiting for the real thing to come along. Right honey?
Lois: Hey, you could do worse.
Sonny: So what are you doing in Pt. Charles?
Lois: Oh, of course, you wouldn't know, this is my band you're about to hear.
Sonny: What are you some type of groupie chick or something?
Lois: Excuse me, bite your tongue, I happen to be a professional.
Sonny: Oh, Lois! You've got a lot of potential. You don't need to be...
Brenda: She's not a hooker.
Lois: I'm their manager.
Lois: Yeah, they're all mine.
Sonny: That's great.
Lois: Yeah, it would be, if the lead singer would decide to show up.
Brenda: Eddie's not here?
Lois: Do you see him anywhere?
Brenda: This is not good, not at all.
(Sonny and Brenda are alone at the bar.)
Brenda: I guess this goes down in the small world hall of fame. You and Lois grew up together?
Sonny: Why do I have a feeling I should be breaking out in a cold sweat?
Brenda: I don't know, unless you have something in your past you're trying to hide from me.
