Chapter 1 Thursday, December 22, 2005 - 6 AM

Brenda was lulled awake slowly from a wonderful dream by the sound of soft breathing and a warm body lying next to her. She did not know were she was at first or who was sleeping next to her. It didn't matter this morning. Her first thoughts were to try to stay in the dream for as long as she could, and hold on to that warm body like a teddy bear. It did not last very long. Sounds, morning sounds, started entering into her consciousness: people running down the hall, kids yelling and laughing, doors opening and closing, water for showers running, dishes being tossed about. She could not place where she was, so she opened her eyes. She remembered.

It was Ward-Warehouse, in the office on the main floor, three days before Christmas. She was sleeping on an overstuffed sofa donated by Goodwill. It was normally a very uncomfortable sofa. The person curled up with her was Carson Donaldson, a seven year old resident of the Ward- Warehouse.

Brenda and Carson were becoming fast friends. Carson was the little girl watching Brenda the night that she and Sonny had ....well that night 6 months ago. Carson was the daughter of a prostitute who died 3 years ago of a drug overdose. She was mute - by her own choice not because of anything physical. She had been bounced around from a number of foster homes and Laura Spencer was trying to find a family with other children to adopted her, but she was a difficult child. Everyone fell in love immediately with this beautiful little moppet. She had blonde curly hair and deep sea blue eyes. The problem was that she was a bit of a free spirit, to put it nicely. Since she did not talk it made it difficult to "manager" her. She was a bit of a brat. Carson had picked Brenda. Like a cat picks her owner. There was something about Carson that both attracted and repelled Brenda. Carson was non-plussed by Brenda's $1,500 suits, $500 hair cut, and stiff corporate veneer. And Brenda was not put off by Carson caustic silence. They were more alike than either one would care to admit.

Brenda had been spending a lot (for Brenda) of her time at Ward-Warehouse. The plans for the School for the Performing Arts were coming into fruition. If all things kept on track the school would open next fall. The key players were: Laura, Emily, Sonny, Ned, Lois, Brenda, Mike, Luke, Maggie (Farmer -- will introduce her later), V, and Felicia. When the whole group got together there were nothing but power struggles, so they tried to avoid Board Meetings. Mike had taken the lead with Felicia and those two were doing a lot of the concrete organizing - plans for the building etc. Sonny was trying to drum up money and support but he still did not have the clout that he needed to pull this kind of thing off. Hence Ned, Brenda and Laura. Ned had his family and his families clout (old money), Brenda had the fashion community and the whole world to draw on for support (new & interested money) and Laura had her sparkling reputation to lend credence to the entire venture. V, Emily, Lois and Luke were in charge of getting the staff hired and starting the curriculum. Their first hire was Maggie Farmer. She was to be the new school master/principal.

Brenda and Ned were planning a fund raiser to be held on New Year's Eve. It was nice how they were all able to maintain their friendships. Brenda & Ned had been divorced for over three years and they still cared about each other quite a bit. It was hard at first, especially because of the relationship between Lois and Ned rekindling, but Brenda's bond with Brook-lynn was something that no one wanted to destroy. In all the time that Brook had been alive she was never for one minute concerned about all her relatives motives. They all loved her and wanted what was best for her. She was a lucky and happy little girl.

Back to Ward-Warehouse, Brenda had been working on the fund raiser very late into the night. She stopped around 12:30am to rest for a moment on the couch before she gathered herself together to go home. She must have fallen asleep. Carson had been waiting for her to leave and was watching from the upper floor. Around 3am, when Brenda had not left, Carson snuck down to the office and curled up with Brenda on the couch. Before Brenda was fully awake the door to the office slams open and in walks Laura.

L: Brenda! Oh God you startled me. Did you stay here all night?
B: Yes, Shhhh! (Brenda pointed to the still sleeping Carson)
L: Well look at that. Looks like the ice maybe melting.
B: I don't even know when she got here. What time is it?
L: Around 6:30. We should wake her anyway she's got to get ready for school.
B: And I have an 8 o'clock.

As Brenda's whispered voice carried, Carson woke up and quickly got off the couch. She stood
there in the room and glanced back and forth between Brenda and Laura. She was acting like she
had been caught with her hands in the cookie jar.

B: Good Morning Sleepy. (Carson just looked down.) Did you sleep well? (No response)
Would you like to have dinner with me tonight? (Carson shook her head). Ok, if you change
your mind just let me know. (Carson shook her head again.) Well I have go to go to work now.
Can I come see you again? (Carson nodded. She was about to run out of the room, but threw her
arms around Brenda and held on for dear life.) Well, Well, what is all this? (She released her
hold and ran from the room almost knocking down Laura on the way.) What do you make of
that?
L: Not a thing. With everyone else, with the exception of Luke, she is non-responsive or
down right impossible. She never listens or does what you ask her to do. Getting her to go to
bed it like trying to stuff a cat into a pillowcase.
B: What is she like with Luke?
L: She watches him. Usually from a distance. But if he pays her any attention at all she is
very attentive and will usually do what he asks. There is another person she likes quite a bit. Do
you know Buck, that boy from Montreal? I don't understand it either. He treats her really badly.
He teases her for not talking and just gives her a really bad time. But she is always watching him.
B: Buck? Is that the kid that Sonny had transferred down here?
L: Yes. He is a bit of a problem too. He is getting better, and he responds to Sonny really
well. I wish Sonny would spend more time here than at the hospice, he has a way with the kids.
B: How is he these days anyway? I haven't really talked to him for close to 5 months.
L: He is good. He has got a lot of things going on and he is staying really busy.
B: It is ok Laura I know. I am fine with Sonny. We have an understanding. But with
Deception and this school opening, I am staying really busy too. We don't have much chance to
talk.

The two women chatted for a little while longer - not really touching on anything important.
Laura and Brenda never really bonded. They respected each other and genuinely liked one
another but they never really became fast friends. They worked together quite well.

L: Will you come back to see Carson tonight?
B: Sure, if I can.
L: Brenda, Carson needs someone in her life to make an effort. You understand?
B: I will give her everything that she will let me give.
L: What about adopting her?
B: I hadn't thought about that but I guess that I could. I don't really have time for a child
but....Let's see how things play out. I thought you were looking for a family.
L: The more I think about it. Carson would probably do better in a one on one situation.
B: Like me.
L: Yes. Think about it. She is not going anywhere, yet.
B: I will -- I have got to go. I see you tonight - if you are still here. (Brenda leaves)

Above Luke's, Sonny's alarm clock click on announcing that it was 7AM. He reached over Tess
and turned the alarm off. He hated sleeping on the right side of the bed. That was...not his side.
Tess always got her way.

She was a doctor at GH, and had been volunteering at the hospice now for 8 months. She was a
psychiatrist and had only moved to Port Charles 1 1/2 years ago. She had heard about the
infamous Sonny Corinthos from her best friend Karen Wexler. Friend was not really the best way
to describe the relationship between these two women. Tess used Karen for information.

Karen was reluctant to give anything to Tess, especially when it concerned Sonny. Not to save
his hide god knows. Karen and Sonny had never really worked through all their stuff. He left her
alone and treated her with respect and she tried to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Tess had a way about her that scared most people, and irritated the rest. But she always seemed
to get people to do what she wanted them to do. She was not evil by any means, just
manipulative - but in a positive way. Sonny was a tough nut to crack. She met him the day that
she moved to PC. He was at the hospital asking for more hours from the doctors on staff for the
hospice. He was the sexiest thing on two legs she had even seen (makes you wonder why she
spent so much time at the track). But he was unavailable. She tried like the dickens to get him to
notice her but nothing. She had dug the story of Sonny & Brenda out of one of the orderlies and
that only seemed to intrigue her more.

After she started working at the hospice, Sonny was forced to have conversations with her. Up
until then he sort of ignored her, like furniture and everyone else in his life. But he discovered
that her liked her. She was strong-willed and very determined. She was an excellent psychiatrist
and she really helped a lot of the people at the hospice. God knows she was sexy. About 4 inches
taller than Sonny and deep auburn hair. And she was not about to take no for an answer.

Three weeks before Thanksgiving (Sonny's favorite holiday), Sonny let their relationship proceed
to the next level. He was still guarded and even though he knew that he and Brenda would never
be together he was still not ready to get too involved again. But they had some fun, he and Tess.
She was not going to be someone that he would ever marry. The night he told Tess that she
laughed. They had been talking about relationships and theirs in particular. God knows a shrink
can analyze anything - especially before it every happens.

T: You think not, eh?
S: It was not meant to be a challenge. I was trying to be honest with you.
T: Thank you. I want you to be honest about you feelings. When we think we should
proceed to talk about marriage - we will bring it. Until then can't we just let it evolve naturally?

So they did. Sonny wasn't having as much fun as he thought he might. There were times when he
found himself laughing to think that he was dating a psychiatrist and he used to berate Brenda for
trying to talk about anything. Tess was not going to let Sonny off as easily as Brenda did. It was
a good thing he had matured in the last number of years and actually had some answers for the
questions that get asked. He and Tess never discussed his feelings for or the relationship he
had/has with Brenda. That drove her crazy but -- he won that battle.

S: Tess, are you getting up? (Sonny had returned from the shower)
T I was hoping I could convince you to come back to bed. I don't have to be at work until
9:30.
S: No can do, I have got to hit the ground running today and I won't stop until after 9pm.
T: So not tonight?
S: Why don't we save it for Christmas eve.
T I don't want to save. I want it all.
S: You want IT all the time. You better be good or Santa will dump coal in your stocking.
T: Santa better not, or the reindeer will get it.
S: Now there's that Christmas spirit. Come on get up. I have got work to do.
T: Can't I stay in bed a little longer? Don't you want to join me?
S: Not today, Tess. You can stay. Just lock up when you go. (Sonny was still not very hot
on the idea of Tess being in his apartment without him).

Across town in Emily Quartermain's penthouse, Emily sat reading the paper and sipping orange
juice. Maggie Farmer emerged from the bathroom in Emily's robe. Maggie came up behind
Emily and wrapped her arms around her.

M: Good Morning my love.
E: Morning Sweetheart. Don't you have that meeting with Sonny Corinthos this morning?
M: I do. But not until 11am. He called and said that he had to switch things around, some
meeting at 8 o'clock that he had to take.
E: Have you told him yet?
M: No, I haven't but....
E: This could come back in your face - in our faces. I realize that this is 2005, but a lesbian
school master is still not the norm. He needs to know. You should have told them before they
hired you. People could cause a real stink.
M: It didn't come out -- I mean up.
E: Damn it Maggie.
M: I'll tell him. Should I tell him that I am head over heels in love with the great grand
daughter of Edward Quartermain?
E: NO. I haven't even told my family yet.
M: Well when do you plan on telling them? They will figure it out when they find out that I
am and we are living together.
E: I know. I thought I would wait until after Christmas. You are coming to dinner aren't
you?
M: Wouldn't miss it. Monica asked me herself. She knows.
E: Maybe but let's wait to spring it on them until after the holiday.
M: They will understand you know. We have been together for nearly a year, they have
known me longer than that. It won't be such a shock.
E: I know I know. But please?
M: Fine. My mother is coming to dinner too. I will have to tell her to keep her mouth shut.
E: YOUR MOTHER? I guess I have to tell them today. Hand me the phone.
M: Do you want me to go with you?
E: No. I should have done this when I was in college.
M: They would have hated Grace. I did.
E: That is beside the point. And Grace was just a little eccentric.
M: She was bonker pooh. And you know it.
E: She got me to switch teams didn't she?
M: Point well taken. But who got custody of the toaster when you broke up?
E: Very Funny.
M: Make the call. I am going to get dressed.

Brook-lynn entered the Gatehouse just as Ned and Lois were about to start in all over again.
They shut up when they saw her.

B: You two don't need to not fight on my account.
N: We are not fighting. I am tired of you two living in the big house. I want us to be a
family again.
L: Ashton -- NO NO NO do not do this before Christmas. Isn't it better that we are living
here rather than at Brenda's?
B: Brenda has a nicer exercise room and a much better library, and the cook is great.
N: Brook - you are not helping. Don't you want to be a family again?
B: We are a family. Living arrangements will not change a thing - except bathroom rights.
L: Out of the mouths of babes. Ned we agreed to take this one step at a time. SO
N: So alright. So shoot me for wanting to live with my child and her mother.

Luke rolled over and saw the clock 8:00, what was Laura still doing in bed? The curtains were
drawn so that he could sleep in after closing the club. He rolled over and pulled the body sleeping
next to him close:

L: DAMN IT FOSTER! Off the bed. And take a bath.

Chapter 2 Thursday, December 22, 2005 - 8 AM

Robin Scorpio rolled over and noticed that the clock was blinking.

R: On no, Dean what time is it?
D: Huh? I don't know? It's 8 o'clock.
R: The power must have gone out again. The clock says 12:00. Shoot, now I am going to
be really late. You are too.
D: It's OK. After we made our plans last night I cleared my desk this morning.
R: Pretty presumptuous of you. You just thought I was going to fall into bed with you just
because you brought me flowers and took me out for a nice dinner. (She was teasing)
D: That and the fact that you said you were not planning on going home.
R: Well if you are going to listen to what I say.....(They kiss) Look I have got to call in. I
am not up there on the totem pole high enough to be able to stroll in when ever I feel like it. (She
got out of bed to call into GH and tell them that she was running late)

Robin was doing her residency at GH. She graduated from Yale Medical School last spring. She
graduated with honors and was planning on going to to the AIDS Foundation research area of
medicine. Many strides have been made since 1997, the protocol was working for many people
and the epidemic was now under better control, however new strains of the virus were being
detected and the protocol was not effective in every case. The largest population contracting the
virus these days were the homeless, and it was still hard to get to them to take the medications
consistently. Robin's HIV was in check.

D: Will I see you tonight?
R: I am not sure. I have tentative dinner plans with Luke and Luara et al. Would you like to
come?
D: Luke and I at the same dinner table? That's sounds like a recipe for disaster.
R: You two have more in common that either of you would care to admit. Would you come?
We are meeting at Ruby's. A public place and Luke will be on his best behavior.
D: What is it between you and Luke?
R: Luke was my father's best friend and he was one of my godfathers when I was young.
He's been there for me through some very rough times.
D: You have got so many people in your life that love you.
R: And I care about all of them -- are you worried that I won't have time for you?
D: Maybe. Maybe I am just worried that ---- well never mind.
R: What is it?
D: Well, most of these other men in you life are not my favorite people. I am not one of
theirs. How can you integrate us in your day? Your life?
R: Listen Dean, It is true that I have a wide variety of people in my life, and that I don't
excuse people from my life just because they may have habits that I don't approve of. But as for
how full my life is and that you may not be able to fit in. That is just silly. I have many friends
and many more people that I have interest in, however I still am alone. I was hoping that we were
going to be more than friends.
D: We are. At least I hope we will be for a long time. I am sorry I just get confused
sometimes. I have real opinions about people and they are not "forgiving". Will that bother you?
R: This is not about Luke is it? This is about Sonny.
D: He's one.
R: Sonny is not the same man he was. It is as if all the "gangster" was removed. He is no
Albert Schweitzer, but he does have a really good heart and he wants to do make a difference and
he is. As it relates to Brenda -- he is moving on with his life and so is she.
D: You think so uh?
R: Should I be worried about you and Brenda?
D: Don't be silly. She's not my type.
R: And what type is that?
D: You --- I'll meet you for dinner. Now go to work.

Across town at Felicia Scorpio's house there was a knocking on the door.

F: Who is it?
M: Who do you think it is?
F: I'm not sure I want to open the door to you.
M: Damn it Felicia - we need to talk.
F: I am getting the girls ready for school, it is a bad time.
M: Open the damn door. (She does - Mac is in the clothes he was wearing yesterday and it
looks like he has not slept all night.) Thank you (He steps inside. Maxie and Georgie great their
father and leave the room. The tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife.) Where is Robby?
F: He is still sleeping. I thought I would let him stay a sleep for as long as I could.
M: Is he still sick?
F: He's working through it. What do you want Mac?
M: You know what I want. Felicia we have been through too much and for too long to throw
it all away on a misunderstanding. We are still married you know.
F: That can be remedied.
M: Don't do this Felicia. You know that I love you and have forever. I can't even imagine
my life with out you and our children. (One thing Felicia never did was point out that Frisco was
the father of the girls - as far as she was concerned Frisco gave up his right to them the last time
he left.)
F: I guess you were imagining pretty well the other night with Tess.
M: We were just dancing - nothing else.
F: Look Mac we are separated and you can do what ever you want with whom ever you
want. But there is a price to pay.

Mac and Felicia got married back in 1998. They had come to realize that they had something
together more than a once in a life time kind of love. They were meant for each other. They
created a family and made a nice home. They still fought with each other about how to run the
Outback, and the PI business and how to raise the girls, but they were committed. About six
months ago they ran into some real troubles. Miranda showed up again. Mac was no more
interested in her than nothing at all, but they were spending some time together as old friends.
Felicia was going through some postpartum depression. Their son Robert was born eight months
prior. He was born with Downs Syndrome. Felicia was not dealing with this well. She was
taking all the blame on herself. Mac tried to comfort her, but she pushed him away. Mac spent a
lot of time with Robby, he was such a happy little child. When Miranda showed up again, it gave
Felicia another way to push Mac away. Mac had moved out, well downstairs in the Brownstone,
just before Halloween. The incident with Tess that Felicia was referring to happened two nights
ago at the Outback. Tess was in for dinner with Sonny. He had a call and needed to leave. Tess
stayed behind. She closed the club with Mac and when Felicia arrived @ 12:30 to lock up, she
found them slow dancing so some very sexy music. The scene was not as innocent as Mac would
like it to be -- but it was still not adultery.

M: Felicia I am sorry. A thousand times I am sorry. I will not give up on you nor give up on
us. (Mac's loud voice was carrying through the apartment. It woke Robby up and he started to
cry. Mac & Felicia looked at each other for a moment. Mac went to his son.)

At the Quartermain Mansion Monica is hanging up the phone.

M: That was Emily. She wants to have lunch with us. Can you fit it in.
A: I guess so. Is something wrong?
M: She says that she has got something to talk to us about. She sounded serious.
A: Maybe she finally quit that lousy job at Ward-warehouse and is ready to come home.
M: I don't think that is it. We'll meet at the PC Grill at noon OK.
A: OK.

In Brenda's office, she is coming around the desk to give Sonny a hug.

B: It is really good to see you. (The hug like old friends and hang on for just a second too
long)
S: You look great.
B: That is a surprise, I slept on the couch at the Ward-Warehouse.
S: What? Why?
B: I was working on the Fund Raiser and it got really late. I was trying to be overly
prepared for this meeting this morning.
S: You don't need to impress me Brenda. Everything that you are doing is fantastic. This
thing would not be coming together so quickly if it were not for you. (Awkward pause) So tell
me what you are planning and how can I help.
B: Well there is one minor little snag. I can get a lot of backers from the fashion and trade
sector but a question has been raised more than once.
S: That would be?
B: It is the name.
S: What?
B: They are worried that the journalism, fashion and design faction of this school will be lost
if it goes by Port Charles School for the Performing Arts.
S: They can call it what ever they want -- a rose by any other name and all that.
B: Reading Shakespeare Sonny?
S: It was on HBO the other night. So what do they want it to be called.
B: I know this is really stupid but in a case like this we are talking about a lot of money
potential - not to mention the internship possibilities.
S: Don't sell me Brenda. What do they want to call it?
B: Port Charles Academy for Performing and Design Arts.
S: That's it?
B: Minor I know but I am not sure how the rest of the board will react. I need you to push
this through.
S: How much money are we talking?
B: It is hard to get a handle on it. I know that each house I have spoken with will probably
endow a program for at least 5 years.
S: Endow a program?
B: Meaning that they will pay for the instructor and all that is needed for the program to be
successful. It is a big deal. I have got Lois working on a couple of record companies with the
same concept. If we can get these big sponsors all the other programs will be successful just be
being in proximity.
S: You are really good. You are gathering money for long term.
B: Hell yes. Just getting the building built is minor in comparison to keeping the school open
for any length of time.
S: Academy.
B: Whatever. And if we can produce a couple of successful designers, actors, musicians,
artists or journalists it will have a snowball effect.
S: PCA for PDA uh? Well I see no reason not to change the name. God knows the letter
head has not been ordered yet. I thought you wanted to call it House of CHECHE or something
similarly stupid.
B: Thanks for your vote of confidence. They also want to see our mission statement.
S: Who are THEY? And what mission statement?
B: They are the people that are going to keep our lights on next winter and our mission
statement is our promise to use the money correctly.
S: Are you just a volunteer or did I hire you?
B: Just trying to help.
S: And you are doing a great job. Tell me about this party on New Year's Eve.
B: It is going to be the event of the decade. It is going to make Lucy's Nurse's Ball look like
a weinnie roast.
S: You and Lucy aren't still feuding are you?
B: Healthy competition - I am sure you can understand that concept. (Sonny nods) It will be
a combination Fashion Show, Auction and ball. There is going to be some great music and great
food and I will be previewing my new KB line.
S: KB Line?
B: Yes, Katie-Brook it is the new line of mens clothes coming out of Barrett Industries.
S: (Sonny gets a little sad look on his face but with a smile) Katie-Brook. Brook must be
really excited that her name in on a clothing line.
B: She was pretty impressed. She wants girls clothes though. That will come. I want you to
meet the main designer. Do you have a little more time?
S: Me? Sure.
B: Of course you. You have some really great fashion sense. I would like your opinion.
(Brenda picks up the phone and dials a 3 digit number) Winston are you in there?.....could you
come up to my office.....yes ...... yes.....yes.....great. Thanks. (She hangs up. But has an
uncontrolllable smile on her face.)
S: What is so funny.
B: You'll see. Winston is something else. And a great designer.

Winston walks into the office with a portfolio under his arm. Winston has a lot of energy. Too
much for Sonny at 9am. The three of them look over the boards (drawings with colors and
swatches of the fabric). Sonny was impressed as impressed as he could be from looking as some
drawings.

S: These look great. Interesting patterns and nice fabrics.
W: Thank you.
B: Do you really like them.
S: Sure -- I will need to see one and to try one on to see if it would work for me but---
B: Winston - was I right? Any second thoughts?
W: No -- you hit the nail on the head. Excuse me.
S: What are you two talking about?
B: Well Sonny in honor of this new clothing line and for the opening of this school I would
like to present you with the first KB suit. (Brenda goes to the closet and pulls out a garment
bag.) This was designed and put together for you alone. It is a one of a kind.
S: Brenda? This is too much.
B: You have given quite a bit to this community and it was something that I could give back
to you. I want you to wear it at the Fund Raiser.
S: I am stunned. I don't know what to say. (He was really touched. It had been a long time
since someone gave him anything -- especially Brenda)
B: Say thank you and try it on. Winston will be in to make any alterations. Go on the
bathroom is through that door. (Sonny steps into the bathroom and changes into this fabulous
suit. The man could were a leisure suit and make it look good but this was cut for him. It hung
perfectly. When Sonny stepped back through the door - it took Brenda's breath away. She just
looked at him and called out to Winston in the outer office.)
S: It feels great.
W: Good -- Good -- Good. (Winston was walking around Sonny and pulling and tucking and
checking the lines.) It was made for you my friend.
B: Look at the line of the pants are they right.
W: Yes Brenda -- it is like a glove.
S: It feels like -- silk?
W: It is actually a linen blend. A fabric of my design.
S: Thank you. Thank you both.
W: My work here is done (in a mock evangelic voice and he leaves).
S: He is a little -- eccentric.
B: He is the newest hottest designer or he will be as soon as this line of clothing is revealed.
S: Brenda this was really nice of you.
B: You are welcome. (There is that awkward silence between them again. Sonny excuses
himself to change back. When he returns Brenda was back at her desk working). Well I suppose
you have another meeting and I know my calendar is pretty busy.
S: Yes I have an 11 o'clock with Maggie. What do you think of her?
B: I only know her through Emily. I know that they are pretty tight. She seems competent.
She was the head of a very prestigious girls school in Boston wasn't she.
S: Yes. Luke, Emily and V chose her. I have not had too much interaction with her as yet.
I have been trying to stay as far away from that group as possible. There are more opinions flying
around them than I care to deal with. I have my hands pretty full with just trying to secure the
building permits and loans, and the architects. And keeping the hospice up and running is
becoming more and more difficult.
B: I thought Mike and Felicia were helping you.
S: Help? Well that is one word for it. I am really glad that you are on the team Brenda.
Both you and Ned are really doing amazing things.
B: I hope that it will be the success that we hope it will be. The fund raiser I mean. I am
sure the School will be great. (They are starting to walk out.) Sonny, what are you doing for
Christmas Eve?
S: I am not sure why?
B: Well I am having a little party at the house. I would very much like it if you and Tess
would come. (the name stuck in her throat a little - she had only met Tess on occasion and was
not impressed but that was before Tess & Sonny got together). I know that this is sudden. But I
decided to do this a few days ago and Reginald finally agreed to pull it off. So it will be the usual
crowd - Robin & Dean, Mac and Felicia (I hope), Lois & Ned & Brook-lynn, Winston & his
partner, Jax & V, the Quartermains, Emily & Maggie. I was going to invite the Spencers and
Mike and his girlfriend. It is turning out to be a pretty big event and everyone had agreed so far.
But if you can't make it I will understand.
S: Brenda slow down. Thank you for inviting me. I would be happy to join you. We have
not had a chance to talk in quite some time.
B: Yeah - we are really busy people.
S: I have been wanting to call you since you left that message a few weeks ago.
B: I was thinking about you - hell all of us -- on the day. I spent it with Robin.
S: She told me. I took the day for myself. I cannot believe that it was 10 years ago that
Stone died.
B: Things have changed so much since then.
S: But somethings will never change.
B: I still think of him quite a bit and it brings a smile to my face each time.
S: He had an effect on all of us.
B: Yes he did. (Brenda starts to tear up, but reaches out to hug Sonny before he could
notice.) Well thanks for meeting me here and I will get you the rest of the proposal for the fund
raiser and the Academy after the holiday. I will see you Christmas Eve?
S: Sure, Thank you again for the suit. I feel kind of guilty since I am really doing very little
to get this school -- Academy off the ground.
B: You are organizing the masses. That deserves some kind of recognition.

Sonny left and passed Dean in the elevator on the way out. Dean just looked at Brenda as she
was watching the elevators doors close.

D: Right -- she's moving on. And I am Mother Theresa.
